Guard E’Twaun Moore will become an unrestricted free agent when the NBA’s free-agency period begins Tuesday.
If the Orlando Magic had submitted a qualifying offer for Moore, and if Moore turned down the offer, Moore would’ve become a restricted free agent.
Teams have the right to match any offer sheet that one of their restricted free agents signs. It’s more beneficial to players to become unrestricted free agents as opposed to restricted free agents.
Moore’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, said Moore hasn’t ruled out returning to the Magic if the Magic have an interest in re-signing Moore.
